Hello, my name is Tomas Galek and this webpage contains my portfolio in 3d art. I'm 3d generalist, what basically means that I can do everything in 3d,
especially in game art. I can create a character from scratch to main hero in game. I can:
- unwrap UV,
- paint texture,
- render to texture normal, specular, opacity etc. maps,
- rig, skin and animate character in advanced level using graph editor, wire parameters, action manager, custom attributes and custom scripts (3ds Max),
- make shaders in engine (I was working mainly in Unreal Engine 4,
but it's no problem to migrate when you know any engine),
- set character as playable main character in game, do some triggers and other things in level design.
I'm equally good in modeling organic (characters, creatures, foliage, etc.) and hardsurface objects (buildings, vehicles, machines, etc.).
Additionally, I'm familiar with x3dom framework to render 3d content on webpage, what you can see in MODELS section of this website.
I have perfect workflow between following tools: 3ds Max, Zbrush, Gimp, Unreal Engine 4, World Machine 2, CrazyBump, Blender, Adobe Premiere Pro.
I'm learning new tools very fast, so after few hours I could work also in Maya, Mudbox or Photoshop, it's actually only issue of interface, when you know how to handle with 3d, colors, and so on.
